Fisherman Nabbed for the crime of Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Homicide

V. SAGUN, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 13, 2018) - Police operatives of Margosatubig Police Station, Vincenzo Sagun Police Station, Regional Intelligence Unit 9, PNP-Intelligence Group conducted joint police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Brgy Waleng-Waleng Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:30 AM of December 12, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Marlon Omaña Doroin, 24 years old, single, fisherman and resident of Brgy. Waleng-Waleng, Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused were arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Homicide docketed under Criminal Case No. 18-0076-M issued on June 18, 2018 by Honorable Judge Arnold M. Diabo, presiding judge of 9th Judicial Region, Branch 15, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur with bail bond recommended of Twelve Thousand Pesos (Php12, 000.00) for his temporary liberty.

The arrested person is now under the custody of Margosatubig MPS for proper disposition.

Top 7 Most Wanted in Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay, Captured

V. SAGUN, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 9, 2018) - Joint elements from Provincial Intelligence Branch of Zamboanga Del Sur PPO, V-Sagun MPS and Siay MPS conducted manhunt operation at Poblacion, San Miguel Zamboanga del Sur at about 9:30 AM of December 8, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of the suspect identified as Elly Dugaduga Guhitia, 44 years old, married, former security guard of Pitchel Security Agency, a resident of Brgy. Logpond, Siay Zamboanga Sibugay (listed as Top 7 Municipal Level) and presently residing at Barangay Danan, V- Sagun, Zambo. Del Sur.

The arrest was made by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Robbery by a Band, under Criminal Case No. I-6609, issued by Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 36, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay with One Hundred Thousand pesos (Php100, 000.00) recommended bail bond.

The Arrested person is now under the custody of Siay MPS for proper disposition.

Man Held for Possessing Unlicensed FA

V. SAGUN, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 15, 2018) - On November 14, 2018 at about 3:15 PM, Hon. Binigno Sombilon, Barangay Chairman of Barangay Maculay, Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga Del Sur, personally reported to V Sagun MPS that there was a person armed with a hand gun at Purok Tangigi, of Barangay Maculay, particularly at Champion Construction bunkhouse and pointing handgun to the person who pass by the road.

The PNP team of V Sagun MPS proceeded at the aforementioned place and spotted one person walking along the road that is unruly and believed under the influence of liquor and brandishing the short firearm.

That team immediately frisked the said person and then confiscated the short firearm from his right hand which is caliber 357 without serial number and no ammunition and after the arrest was made said person was identified as Teodoro Ibarra Otanio, 52 years old, a watchman of Champion Construction.

1 killed in Shooting Incident

V. SAGUN, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 8, 2018) – One person was killed in shooting incident transpired at Purok Alindahaw, Barangay Kapatagan, Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:00 AM of November 7, 2018.

The victim identified as Rociano Dumayo Y Tumimo, 49 years old, married, jobless and a resident of aforementioned place was shot to death by unidentified suspect. 

Initial investigation conducted by the PNP personnel of Vincenzo Sagun MPS that prior to the incident, victim was lying at the swing net near at the house of Meloy Capa, neighbor of the victim about 20 meters from where he lied.

The suspect was came from the south where the victim head placing the swing net fronting to the north and there shoot the victim in three times hitting at his head and shoulder resulting to his instantaneous death as pronounced by the attending physician Dra. Grace Sabellano.

The suspect fled to the north direction wearing Jacket color gray and dark jeans, concealed with a bonnet on his face as described by their neighbor who saw the suspect while walking towards the direction as mentioned above. Motive of the incident are still to be determined.

Three empty shell of caliber 45 recovered from the crime scene. PNP elements of Vincenzo Sagun MPS conducting hot pursuit operation for possible arrest of the suspect and still continues conducting follow up investigation to identify and file appropriate charges against the perpetrator.

Stabbing Incident

VINCENZO ZAGUN, ZamboSur (Aug. 2, 2018) - Stabbing incident transpired at Purok Cadena de Amor, Brgy Kabataan, Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:30 PM of July 29, 2018.

initial investigation conducted disclosed that the victim identified as Junry Camilo, 21 years old, single, fisherman and resident of Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur.

He was stabbed by suspect identified as Albert Saranza aka Boboy, 19 years old, married, fisherman and resident of Sitio Liangan, Brgy Kabatan, Vincenzno Sagun, Zamboanga Del Sur due to misunderstanding while having a drinking spree together with the boat captain of Realyn 9 fishing vessel and their other companions.

The victim suffered stabbed wound at the back portion of his body and was immediately brought to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for medical treatment.

The responding PNP personnel arrested the suspect and now temporary detained at Vincenzo Sagun MPS custodial facility for proper filing of appropriate charges. Investigator is SPO1 Jisefel N Quiapo with contact #0909-4524-029.(By JONG CADION)

Stabbing Incident

V. SAGUN, Zamboanga del Sur (July 17, 2018) -  Stabbing incident transpired at Purok Gumamela, Barangay Limason, Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:30 PM of June 15, 2018.

Wherein the victim identified as Lemuel Apac Y Montero, 30 years old, married, farmer and a resident of afore-said place was stabbed by his younger brother identified as Junel Apac Y Montero, 27 years old, married and also a resident of said place.

Initial investigation conducted disclose that prior to the incident, the victim are having a drinking spree together with his father Manuel Apac at their residence when a heated argument collides between the two.

However, his younger brother step in and believed to be under the influence of liquor and there and then a brawl between the three ignite. At that moment Junel Apac allegedly stabbed his brother hitting on the left chest of the victim.

Immediately after the incident the victim was brought to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for medication. Motive of the incident is family problem. PNP elements of Vincenzo Sagun MPS together with Margosa Tubig MPS successfully apprehended the suspect at Margosatubig Regional Hospital at about 10:05 PM of same date and brought the suspect to Vincenzo Sagun MPS for proper disposition. Man Arrested in V-Sagun for Killing his Drinking Buddy

V.SAGUN, ZamboSur (June 26, 2018) – A man was arrested by PNP elements of Vincenzo Sagun MPS for killing his drinking buddy, the incident transpired at Purok Bituon, Brgy. Danan, Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:45 PM of June 24, 2018.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at about 10:40 PM of the same date, the victim identified as Criscencio Navarro, 58 years old, married, farmer by occupation and resident of same place was mauled and struck with a hard object in his head and body which resulted to his deat.

Police identified the suspect as certain Jonas Asuncion, 38 years old, single, jobless and resident of same place.

Further investigation conducted that before the incident, at the house of the victim, they were having a drinking session together with some neighbors. Later, the victim and suspect had an intense argument when the victim told the suspect to stop drinking because he is already drunk which made the suspect get angry and challenged the victim to a fight outside the victim’s house.

Suspect then get a hardwood and struck the victim’s head several times until the victim fall down to the ground unconscious, not contented, the suspect got a stone and smashed it to the victim’s head.

The CVOs and other neighbors intervene but the suspect resisted reason for them to tie the hands of the suspect. The other concerned neighbors immediately rushed the victim to a nearby hospital for medical attention but while on their way, the wife and daughter noticed and believed that the victim was already dead and insisted to go back, reason for them not to proceed to the hospital.

The suspect was then turned-over to the responding PNP personnel and was brought to Vincenzo Sagun MPS for temporary detention and proper filing of criminal case.

Shooting Incident in V.Sagun

V. SAGUN, Zamboanga del Sur (June 5, 2018) – Shooting incident transpired at Purok Alindahaw, Barangay Kapatagan, Vicenzo Sagun, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:15 PM of June 4, 2018.

The victim was identified as Alex Gregorio Nanaman, 51 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Purok Mindahila of said Barangay was shot to death by unidentified suspect.

Acting on the said report, Elements of Vicenzo Sagun MPS proceeded to the place of incident to verify the said report.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that, prior to the incident, the victim was playing billiard with his friends. On that instance, while the victim was sitting at the bench waiting for his turn to play suddenly the victim was shot at the back of his head which resulted to his instantaneous death.

According to some witnesses, the unidentified suspect was wearing dark jacket with hood and was hiding between the three blankets hanged outside the place of incident and shot the victim at about more or less two (2) meters distance from behind and immediately escaped towards unknown direction.

Further, investigation disclosed that the victim was shot using a cal.45 based on the recovered spent shell recovered at the crime scene.

Investigator on-case is still conducting follow-up investigation to identify the suspect and to determine the motive of the incident. Investigator is SPO1 Jisefel N Quiapo with CP # 09094524029.

Police disseminate information campaign

VINCENSO SAGUN, Zamboanga del Sur - The personnel of Vincenso Sagun Municipal Police Station headed by the Chief of Police Senior Inspector Augustus A. Rosendo conducted hanging of tarpaulin as initiative to disseminate the PNP PGS Institutionalization campaign in the municipality on April 17, 2018.
